Sexing a Bearded Dragon

A Bearded Dragons sex can be determined as early as two months of age. This is particulary important when housing Bearded Dragons together. Two males will fight, a male and female should not be housed together. The only combination for happy living is more than one female.

Remember Bearded Dragons do not need a companion.

How to sex a Bearded Dragon. Lift up your Bearded Dragons tail be careful not to bend the tail to far. You will see either two bulges on either side or one bulge in the middle. You should be able to sex a Bearded Dragon at four months of age although each is different.
